Louis E. Jones (1878 – 1958) oil on board, depicting a Fall mountainscape. Signed lower left "L. E. Jones, 1950," and titled on reverse "An October Day In The Smokies, Louis E Jones, 1950." Jones was an Impressionist painter from Woodstock, New York and established the Cliff Dwellers studio in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Sight: 9 1/2 In H X 11 1/4 " W, Framed: 13 3/8" H X 15 1/4" W. Condition: Overall excellent condition with one small circular loss at left side margin near tree (less than 1/16" diameter). Note photos.
