Japanese bronze floor duplex telescoping oil lamp, probably Meiji Period, comprised of a central adjustable bamboo stalk base with four supports on a circular foliate decorated base. Removable duplex oil burner insert and central bamboo cage/holder and foliate pierced silk lined shade. Burners marked E. M. Duplex & Company. Height adjusts from 54 1/2" H (w/ shade) to 65" H (w/ shade). Late 19th/Early 20th century. Provenance – The Estate of Eddie Jack Miller, Johnson City, TN. CONDITION: Wear to silk lining on shade. Some bending to pierced shade. One side of bamboo cage/holder warped. Overall general wear to lamp.
