Seven (7) Henry Ardmore Sandercock (United Kingdom, 1838-1887) ink on paper drawings depicting life in England, featuring people with horses and donkeys. Six drawings signed with "S" monogram in ink, lower left and right. Three drawings signed "H. Sandercock" in pencil, top and lower left. Six drawings with extraneous pencil marks by artist. All drawings housed in contemporary frames. Ranging in size from Sight – 5" H x 7" W, Framed – 8 3/4" H x 10 5/8" W to Sight – 7 1/8" H x 10 3/4" W, Framed – 12 3/4" H x 16 1/4" W. British, mid/late 19th century. CONDITION: Overall good condition. Drawings exhibit toning, foxing spots, largest 1/4", tears, pin prick perforations, to be expected from age. Sticky residue, surface of glass of drawing with a man riding a donkey (does not affect drawing). Not examined outside of frames.
