Reverend C. W. Rightsell (Tennessee, 20th c.) oil on canvas (laid down on board) of woman in bonnet picking lilies, signed lower left corner, “C. W. Rightsell”. Script on back reads, “Rev. C.W. Rightsell -Retired, 1971”. Biography – Considered an outsider artist, Rev. Rightsell painted people and landscapes from Knox County. He resided at Ruggles Ferry Road in Knox County. Condition: Good condition with slight area of loss upper right. Stray mark to mid-sky area and thin layer of grime. Sight: 8-6/8″ W x 23-1/2″ H. Framed: 10-1/2″ W x 25-3/8″ H. Mid 20th century.
