Two Russian Eastern Orthodox icons including one large rectangular icon with tempura painted face and an embossed and chased silvered brass overlay depicting Saint Barbara holding a chalice and titled in Cyrillic "AGIA BAPBAPA" (15 7/8" H x 11 5/8" W), and a smaller painted and gilt gesso icon on wood depicting Madonna and Child (7 1/4" H x 6 3/8" W). 19th century/Early 20th century. Condition: Larger icon with slight loss to paint and overall cracklure. Smaller icon with losses to paint, especially to perimeter, corners and sides.
