Chinese silk circular embroidery having red background and forbidden stitch depicting a scholar holding a flowering branch, standing above waves with fish breaking through the surface, with additional floral and insect decoration. Black outer border with bats and auspicious symbols. Embroidery is mounted on a cream colored silk square and housed in a black painted frame. Central embroidery measures 16" dia. Sight: 20" x 20".
