Large Greene County, Tennessee earthenware pottery jar with copper oxide band designs over a lead glazed body and a coggled band of geometric designs below a squared flaring rim, unglazed bottom. 12 3/4" H. Attributed to Christopher Alexander Haun (1821-1861). The coggled band design includes geometric tread and line star patterns. CONDITION: Both handles have been lost, scattered losses to glaze with largest areas of loss where handles once were. Glaze losses have been filled in with paint.
