Assorted Asian Porcelain and Snuff Bottles. Porcelain includes 4 bowls, the largest with scalloped rim and all with various marks or seals on base, (2 to 3" H x 4 to 5-3/4" dia); 1 cup with yellow ground, marked China on base, 1 turquoise blue Guanyin figure, marked China on base (7 3/4" H); 1 turquoise blue foo dog, marked China on base, (3" H). Six Asian snuff bottles: 1st item: Chinese White Peking glass snuff bottle, double gourd form with yellow enameled decoration of a dragon chasing a flaming pearl, glass or quartz lid (has come detached from cork, which is stuck inside bottle; 1/4" rim chip), signed on underside. 3 1/4" H. 2nd item: Large glass snuff bottle with reverse painted blue dragon decoration, pale blue glass stopper lid, lacking spoon. 3 1/2" H. 3rd item: White porcelain snuff bottle with iron red painted decoration of a maiden, gray quartz stopper lid. Signed on underside. 2 1/2" H. 4th item: Red cut to clear Chinese Peking glass snuff bottle with phoenix design with red glass stopper lid, 2" H. 5th item: Red faux cinnabar urn shaped snuff bottle, signed on underside. 2-1/2" H. 6th item: Japanese ebonized hardwood triangular snuff bottle with ivory sides, inscribed with scene of a boy fishing, signed on front, with poem inscription on back. 2-1/4". Provenance: Estate of Mrs. Mary Ann Bowers Thomas, Athens, Alabama. CONDITION: Porcelain: Very good condition. Minor loss of decoration. Firing flaws on base of Imari rice bowl, do not appear to be chips. Snuff bottles: All items in very good condition except where noted in above.
