Two (2) Julie Richard Crane (Maine, 20th century) works. 1st item: Mixed media on panel titled "Come Out Night" 1994. Depicts a female portrait with two symmetrical mermaid figurines representing her hair, the figure of a mole before her neck, and three black umbrellas above her head with four disembodied hands reaching up towards them, the images framed by geometric patterns of blue and green with yellow pinprick dots. Signed and dated "J. A. R. 1994" in pencil, lower right of image, titled en verso. Housed in an etched decorated custom metal frame. Sight – 10 1/2" H x 10 1/2" W. Framed – 14 1/2" x 14 1/2" W. 2nd item – Mixed media on panel titled "her Brother's room" 1994. Depicts the image of an anthropomorphized black and white bird before seven columns of geometric and floral patterns against a wash of pink and green. Across the top are the images of four black seated bears in clown costumes flanking a black umbrella with four disembodied hands reaching up towards it. Across the bottom under manila and white geometric shapes and abstracted by a black border are the words "For there is…o remember…of the mi…were them…the fool…; seein…t…which". Signed and dated "J. A. R. 1994" in pencil, lower right of image, titled en verso. Housed in an etched decorated custom metal frame. Sight – 10 1/2" H x 10 1/2" W. Framed – 14 1/2" x 14 1/2" W.
