Anna Parker Braune (1908 – 1988) 1st & 2nd item: Pair of Anna Parker Braune (1908 – 1988) prints depicting African American children engaging in everyday life. Both numbered in pencil #18/500 and pencil signed "Anna Braune" lower right. Unframed. One measures 16"H x 20"W and the other 20"H x 16"W. 3rd item: The children's book "Bojabi Tree" illustrated by Anna Parker Braune with a personal inscription to the front cover, dated April 1959. Biography: Illustrator, librarian. Bornñ Albany, N.Y. b. 1908 – d. 1988. Braune spent her childhood in Cincinnati, Ohio; Chapel Hill, N.C.; and Fairhope, Ala. She studied at the Art Academy of Cincinnati, the New York School of Fine and Applied Arts, and at a school in Monton, France. Braune worked as a librarian at the Fairhope Colony in alabama and in the personnel division of a large corporation in Mobile.
