Lot of 2 engraved glass items attributed to Hawkes (one signed, one unmarked). 1ST ITEM: Cylindrical vase, plain flat rim tapering towards plain foot, with engraved oval design at rim and floral spray decoration circling the body. Signed on base with etched 3-lobe mark with birds (mark of Hawkes, Corning, New York). Excellent condition, 10" H. Late 19th to early 20th c. 2ND ITEM: Handled carafe, possibly a syrup pitcher, with plain silverplated collar, spout, lid, thumbpiece and handle, over a squat glass pear-shaped body, etched in an elaborate grapevine motif. Very good condition with some wear and scratching to base. 7" H. Circa 1920. (2 items total)
