Below is a brief summary on the history of the historic house, Waveland (also referred to Cottage Home) in Davidson County, Tennessee (photo taken from "Historic Homes of the Old South", published by The American National Bank of Nashville, 1941). This house was demolished in the early 20th century to clear land for the current airport. This historical landmark was the home of Dr. John R. Wilson, the father of Fannie A. Wilson. Fannie Wilson married Albert W. Harris in 1867 at Waveland. Their son, Albert Wynne Harris, Jr. married Conn Overton Thompson at Glen Leven in 1903.
