North Carolina long rifle, marked "TFM" on the barrel for Thomas Meritt Fletcher (b. 1817) of Jamestown, NC (Guilford County). Meritt’s apprentices were William Blackwell and Judd Leadbetter . Retains original horn, pouch, and bullet mold. Half stock percussion with German inlays similar to the Jamestown school (Courtesy of Tom Patton). Length 57". Estimate $3,000-$3,500
