Large pair of Meissen figural garniture candleabra, modeled as cherry pickers with dogs at their feet; the female figure wearing a pink and white dress with floral decorated skirt and holding cherries in her apron, the gentleman with green coat and striped breeches carrying a basket of cherries. Each is depicted in front of a tree with four candle cups issuing from leafy arms. 21"H. Circa 1953. Provenance: the collection of Stephen and Lisa Steiner Small, Nashville, Tennessee. Condition: Very good condition. The female candlestick has one broken leaf tip on the lowest tree branch. The male candlestick has a flake to one leaf on the lower right tree branch and a broken tip to a leaf on the lower left tree branch. Some wax residue on candlecups.
