1st item: Painted wood and tin folk art assemblage, attributed to Major Hall (American, 20th century) depicting an old-fashioned red school house with a wooden placard reading "SCHOOL" above door. Signed and dated "Major 9-94", lower left edge of tin roof. 16" H x 8 1/2" W x 12" D. 2nd item: Painted wood and mixed media folk art assemblage depicting a white house with a wooden placard reading "JUSTIN TYME M.D." on roof over door. Interior contains several pieces of dollhouse furniture, roof is removable, doors and windows are not movable. Unsigned. Partial small label reading "…OG'S HOBBIES/Lebanon Junction/Kentucky/401150", affixed to wooden base in front of porch. Assemblage: 8 1/2" H x 14" W x 18 1/8" D. Both items American, late 20th century. CONDITION: 1st item: Overall good condition. "SCHOOL" placard broken in half horizontally. Natural wood cracks, largest 7", surface of assemblage. Rust on tin likely present before structure was assembled. 2nd item: Includes white picket fence broken from base. "JUSTIN TYME M.D." sign loosely attached. Top roof beam on back left section of house partially separated. Surface scratches and overall grime to assemblage.
