Model 1863 single shot percussion rifle. 58 caliber. 40" barrel with 3 bands. Lock marked with date behind hammer "1863" Lock plate marked "U.S." over "COLT’S PT F.A. MFG CO" over "HARTFORD CT". Barrel marked on left side "STEEL". Period ram rod. Overall good condition with patch around lock plate near hammer, 55 3/4" total length.
