Bidding at Auction

All bidding requires reading and agreement to our auction Terms and Conditions. We update the  Terms and Conditions for each auction. Bidding is available by live in-person, absentee, phone and online/Internet.

LIVE IN PERSON:

You may register for live bidding and receive a bid number during the auction preview or before/during the live auction. We will verify you via a valid photo ID (Driver’s License or Military ID) and a credit card. If you are not a previous customer (known customer) and wish to pay with a check, we may require a bank letter of guarantee prior to registration. If you have any questions about registration or payment, refer to our Bidding Forms page or call us 865-558-3033 or email us info@caseantiques.com.

ABSENTEE BIDS:

Print and complete our Phone & Absentee Bid Form indicating your maximum bid on each lot. Absentee bids left with us are executed confidentially and competitively on your behalf up to your maximum bid.

PHONE BIDS:

Print and complete our Phone & Absentee Bid Form. We reserve phones on a first come, first served basis. The deadline for Phone Bids is noon Eastern time the day before the auction. This is a strict deadline, because we have to arrange for personnel to cover all  phone bidder lines. No telephone reservations are accepted unless this signed form is received.

We allow an optional “emergency bid” that we will execute as an Absentee bid, if you desire. This is a safety mechanism in case of a disconnected phone line or other reason we cannot have you on the phone live during the bidding.

We require a credit card to reserve a telephone and we will verify the card is valid, but you are not required to pay for purchases by credit card.

During the auction, a member of our staff will call you about 10 lots before your lot comes up. We auction at about 80 – 100 lots per hour and lots run in consecutive numerical order.

ONLINE BIDS:

Online bidding can be done via Live Bidding or Absentee Bid. Online bidding is executed with our auction partner, LiveAuctioneers.com. To register for live online bidding or online absentee bidding, visit the Case Antiques Website home page prior to the auction and click the link to the “Online Catalog with Internet Bidding” (it links to our LiveAuctioneers pages) or go directly to www.liveauctioneers.com. and search for Case Antiques and follow the instructions.
