Antiques and Fine Art auction to be held Saturday, May 16th, 2009 10:00 AM EST at the Historic Cherokee Mills Building, 2240 Sutherland Avenue, Knoxville, TN. Offerings will include a large selection of fine art, Southern art, American and Southern furniture, Southern pottery, folk art, porcelain, silver, textiles, Civil war, rare books, and other fine smalls (approx. 400 lots). Some of the artists represented include Leon Kroll, Jonas Lie, Carroll Cloar, Carelton Wiggins, Emile Blondel, Robert Rucker, Jacques Vallin, Red Grooms, Carmelo Cappello, Edna Engelhardt, Harry Davis, Edgar Nye, George Howell Gay, Leon Pescheret, Salvador Dali, Edward Rosenfeld, Louis Icart, Howard Finster, Bessie Harvey, Carl Sublett, and Lloyd Branson. Preview will be on Friday, May 15th, from 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM at our Sutherland Avenue gallery or by appointment. There will also be several uncataloged lots in this sale.
